"I’ve always been interested in the process of transferring images onto surfaces other than photo paper. Over the Summer and into the Fall, I began experimenting with ways that I could incorporate my music and photography into physical artwork. I discovered these cradled wood panels and imagined a way that I might include a physical CD within it. In this edition I have taken an image from the Light Rays video and transferred it onto the panel. Each piece has been gold leafed along the 7/8 inch cradle and in the back where the cd sits. Each piece takes about 5 hours start to finish and each one has its own unique character. This artwork can be hung on a wall or stand on a table or shelf."
The CD included has various versions of the song Light Rays from Memories Of Flying Album. This release also features "Justify My Love (Transubstantiation Mix)" available only on the limited edition CD.

Ingrid Chavez's new 'Light Rays' EP includes the album version produced by Copenhagen's Mashti; a live performance of the song from a Summer 2019 concert series at the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis; and four stunning alternative interpretations, including the original demo, 'Blue Grey Light Rays,' Ingrid created with Chris Brann (Wamdue Project/Ananda Project) in 2016.
In 2017, Ingrid gave the vocals from the demo to New York producer Chuck Zwicky who wrote entirely new music and delivered two brand new songs -- one a piano ballad and the other a pop version, each gorgeous, but held back from the album because they didn't fit the direction of the LP, 'Memories of Flying' which Ingrid was producing with Mashti. Ingrid knew she would one day release both of Zwicky's versions on an EP because they were just too beautiful to be withheld. As Ingrid and Mashti worked closely on 'Memories of Flying,' Mashti also wrote new music to accompany Ingrid's lyrics and this resulted in the album version, titled 'Light Rays.' In 2019, Melody As Truth (Johnny Nash & Suzanne Kraft) reached out to collaborate with Ingrid and their first output is the breathtaking, ambient version which completes the Light Rays EP package.
Ingrid has always attracted the best musicians in the world to her light and lyrics. The lyrics to 'Light Rays' prove to be among the most inspiring she's ever written, moving four different producers to write beautiful and unique compositions representing what the words mean to them.
